First Total Artificial Heart Patient on the West Coast Discharged from the Hospital

Nov. 28, 2011 - Tammy Lumpkins, 46, made headlines as the first Total Artificial Heart patient on the West Coast to be discharged from the hospital using the Freedom® portable driver. Just eight days after heading home, she joins The Doctors and her surgeon Dr. Michael Bowdish to talk about her second chance at life.
