Backpack Offers Freedom to Teen with Total Artificial Heart
Texas Children’s Hospital
Aug. 31, 2011 - On the 16th floor of Texas Children's Hospital (TCH), you can hear the mechanical "drumbeat" of a worthy young life rescued from the brink. TCH surgeons implanted the SynCardia Total Artificial Heart in May and ever since, Jordan’s health has improved in astonishing fashion.
